Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Velkon ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you visit velkonco.com, sign in to a Velkon dashboard, or interact with our team.

We try to collect as little as we need to deliver a great service, and we never sell your personal information. Period.

We collect information in three ways:

• Information you give us — name, business name, email, phone, project details and assets you upload, payment confirmation screenshots, and messages you send through tickets or our contact form.
• Information from authentication providers — when you sign in with Google we receive your name, email, and profile picture.
• Usage information — anonymous analytics about which pages are visited, the pages' performance, your browser/device type, approximate region, and referring source. We do not track individuals across other sites.

We use your information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Velkon services you've requested.
• Quote, build, deliver, and host your website.
• Communicate with you about projects, invoices, and support.
• Send transactional emails (account, billing, project status) and, if you've opted in, occasional product updates.
• Detect, prevent, and respond to abuse, fraud, and security incidents.
• Comply with legal obligations.

If you're in the EU, UK, or another jurisdiction with similar laws, we process your personal data under the following lawful bases: (a) contract — to fulfil our agreement with you; (b) legitimate interests — to operate, secure, and improve the Service; (c) consent — for non-essential cookies and marketing emails; and (d) legal obligation — to comply with applicable laws.

We don't sell or rent personal information. We share it only with:

• Subprocessors we use to run the service — our hosting, database, and email infrastructure providers — under contracts that require them to keep your data confidential and secure.
• Authorities when legally required, or to protect rights, property, or safety.
• Successors if we're involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale; we'll notify you before your information becomes subject to a different policy.

We keep account and project information for as long as your account is active and as needed to deliver the service. After you close your account we retain limited records (invoices, tax documents, abuse logs) for as long as required by law or our legitimate business needs.

Anonymous analytics may be retained indefinitely because they cannot be used to identify you.

We protect your information with reasonable technical and organisational measures:

• TLS encryption in transit and at rest for sensitive data.
• Row-level security on every database table that contains personal information.
• Two-factor authentication available on accounts.
• Least-privilege access for our team and a written incident response process.

No system is 100% secure. If we ever discover a breach affecting your personal data, we'll notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, restrict processing of, or delete your personal information; to object to processing; and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

We only send marketing emails to people who explicitly opt in. Every marketing email contains a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can also opt out from your dashboard. Transactional emails (invoices, password resets, project updates) cannot be opted out of because they're required to operate your account.

Velkon is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn we've collected information from a child, we'll delete it promptly.

Velkon is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US, which may have different data protection laws than your jurisdiction. By using the Service you consent to that transfer.

We'll update this Privacy Policy when our practices change. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. Material changes will be announced in your dashboard or via email.
