Acceptable Use Policy

The kinds of content and behaviour that are welcome on Velkon — and the kinds that get accounts suspended.

Last updated June 15, 2026

01Spirit of this policy#

We host real businesses and we want Velkon to be a place clients are proud to send their customers. This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") explains what you can and can't do on Velkon — for the safety of you, your visitors, other clients, and our infrastructure.

This AUP is part of our Terms of Service. Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination, with no refund of fees already paid.

02Prohibited content#

You may not use Velkon to host, link to, or distribute:

  • Content that's illegal where you, we, or your visitors are located.
  • Sexually explicit content involving minors (CSAM) — we report this to authorities without notice.
  • Adult content marketplaces, escort services, or other regulated sexual content without our prior written approval.
  • Hate speech, harassment, threats, or content inciting violence against people or groups.
  • Promotion of self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders.
  • Content that infringes copyright, trademark, trade secret, or other IP rights.
  • Defamatory, libellous, or knowingly false content about identifiable individuals or organisations.
  • Personal information about others published without their consent (doxxing, non-consensual intimate imagery, etc.).
  • Misleading medical, legal, or financial advice presented as professional guidance without proper credentials.

03Prohibited behaviour#

You also may not, and may not allow others to:

  • Send spam, unsolicited bulk email, or operate mailing lists without proper consent.
  • Distribute malware, ransomware, viruses, or any code designed to damage or gain unauthorised access to systems.
  • Run phishing pages, fake login pages, or pages impersonating other brands without authorisation.
  • Mine cryptocurrency, run command-and-control servers, run open proxies, or otherwise abuse our compute and bandwidth.
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any network or system without prior written permission from us.
  • Intentionally overload the Service (e.g., scripted denial-of-service traffic, fork bombs, abusive recursion).
  • Resell, repackage, or sublicense the Service except as expressly allowed in our Terms.
  • Misrepresent your identity, affiliation, or authority on Velkon-hosted sites.

04Regulated & high-risk industries#

Some industries can be hosted on Velkon only with prior written approval and proof of applicable licensing. These include but aren't limited to: cannabis & CBD, firearms & ammunition, gambling, cryptocurrency exchanges, payday lending, supplements making health claims, debt-collection services, and political fundraising. Email us before ordering if your business falls into one of these categories.

05Your responsibilities#

You are responsible for:

  • Everything published or transmitted under your account, including by employees and contractors you give access to.
  • Keeping your contact information current so we can reach you about abuse reports or security issues.
  • Complying with all applicable laws, including data protection (GDPR, CCPA, etc.), consumer protection, and accessibility laws.
  • Securing API keys, secrets, and any third-party integrations you connect to your Velkon-hosted site.

06Reporting abuse#

If you believe a Velkon-hosted site is violating this AUP, please email velkonsupport@gmail.com with the URL, a description of the issue, and any supporting evidence.

For DMCA takedown notices, include all elements required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3) and send them to the same address. Counter-notices are accepted at the same address.

07Enforcement#

When we receive a credible report or detect a violation, we may, at our discretion:

  • Ask you to remove the offending content within a specified window.
  • Disable specific URLs, files, or features without affecting the rest of the site.
  • Suspend or terminate your account, with or without prior notice depending on severity.
  • Cooperate with law enforcement and preserve relevant logs.

For severe violations (CSAM, active phishing, malware distribution, ongoing denial-of-service), we'll disable the site immediately and notify you afterwards.

08Changes to this policy#

We may update this AUP as new threats and abuse patterns emerge. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. Material changes will be announced in your dashboard.
